Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to quality control protocols.
• Perform quality control tests as per guidelines, reporting outliers and recording data.
• Perform daily and monthly instrument procedures accurately.
• Troubleshoot QC and instrument failures, contacting technical support as needed.
• Familiar with cytology preparation, staining, and cover slipping techniques.
• Screens and diagnoses gynecologic (PAP smears) and non-gynecologic cytology smears, responsible for final diagnosis of negatives.
• Understand lab workflow and assist with problem-solving.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

The CHA laboratory provides a range of services from routine blood and urine tests to tissue evaluation.

Job Purpose: Utilizes clinical laboratory technology principles to perform and report tests, promoting efficient laboratory operation and effective patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and adhere to quality control protocols.
• Perform quality control tests as per guidelines, reporting outliers and recording data.
• Perform daily and monthly instrument procedures accurately.
• Troubleshoot QC and instrument failures, contacting technical support as needed.
