Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Cytopathologist for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities include sign-out of cytology and surgical pathology, ROSE, FNA, and education of trainees.

Eligible candidates must have NYS license and cytopathology fellowship / board eligibility. The group offers a comprehensive compensation package with salary around $300,000 plus additional incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in anatomic and clinical pathology.
• Specialization or fellowship in cytopathology.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out general anatomic pathology cases incl. surgical pathology and cytology.
• Supervise cytotechnologists and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Maintain cytology statistics and SOPs; participate in proficiency testing.
• Perform ROSE and ultrasound-guided FNA; intraoperative consultations.
• Provide education to fellows, residents and lab staff; participate in tumor boards.
