Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• ABHES-accredited cytology program or HHHS-approved equivalent.
• ASCP Board of Registry certification as Cytotechnologist (CT) or SCT.
• At least 3 years of full-time cytotechnologist experience in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Screen gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and report negative gynecological cases.
• Perform QC assessments of cytopreparations and rescreening of gynecologic cases.
• Prepare and stain slides, coverslip, and maintain reagents and equipment.
• Assist in fine-needle aspiration procedures and rapid on-site assessment.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP regulations and safety protocols.
• Train students and new staff; perform Cytology Technologist 1 duties as needed.
