Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a self-motivated Cytologist to join our laboratory team. You will perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions and identify unusual findings in preparations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or allied health sciences, ASCP board certification or eligibility, and related CLIA lab experience is preferred. Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or allied health sciences with CAHEA/ASCP approved program.
• ASCP board certification or eligible; must be certified within one year of hire; CMP for those certified after 2004.
• Three years of cytotechnologist experience in a CLIA accredited laboratory (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions.
• Identify unusual findings including insufficiency in the preparations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
