Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Cytology Supervisor to oversee the Cytology laboratory section, supervise staff, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role includes budget and inventory responsibilities and may require acting as technologist as needed.

Ideal candidates have a Cytology degree, Florida Cytotechnologist supervisor license, and at least five years in a clinical laboratory setting with LIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cytology required.
• FL Cytotechnologist license at supervisor level preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a clinical laboratory setting; knowledge of lab processes/workflow.
• Experience with laboratory information systems is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Cytology laboratory section.
• Supervises personnel; conducts performance appraisals and addresses issues.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for cytology procedures.
• May perform duties of technologist or assistant as workload requires and assists with budget/inventory tasks.
