Qualifications

• HT ASCP Eligible and must pass HT (ASCP) exam within 18 months.
• Experience in tissue preparation and processing.
• Knowledge of CAP and CLSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, process, embed, cut, mount and stain patient tissue samples.
• Prepare microscope slides, reagents, and solutions.
• Assist the Pathologist with frozen section procedures.

Skills

HT ASCP Eligible

HT (ASCP) certified

Knowledge of histology principles

Education

Copy of highest level degree or transcript in a clinical field

High school diploma if no degree
