Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four year or two-year science related field (medical technology preferred).
• Math skills required (percent and dilutions) and basic knowledge of metric system.
• Meets mandatory hospital education and health surveillance requirements; demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily workload: data entry, requisition of specimens, coverslipping, filing, cleaning glassware, inventory, and other tasks as assigned.
• Assist in laboratory procedures: glassware cleaning, slide cleaning, coverslipping, reagent preparation, and aiding staff with sample processing.
• Perform and document quality control, quality assurance and preventative maintenance on instrumentation.
