NAVBASE Point Loma seeks a CYP T&C Specialist to deliver comprehensive staff training and assist in monitoring developmentally appropriate curricula for ages six weeks to eighteen years. The role also promotes career and education opportunities for professional growth within the program.

Quality training correlates with high-quality child and youth programming, and candidates should clearly demonstrate KSAs in experience and education as described.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in child development or early childhood education with 3 years full-time experience with children/youth.
• Knowledge of early childhood or youth education principles to develop and monitor curriculum.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and experience training adult learners.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws governing child abuse/neglect detection and prevention.
• Knowledge of national accreditation criteria and DoD certification standards.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement programs.
• Ability to develop curriculum outlines and train workshops.
• Ability to support DoD certification, accreditation, and staff credentialing.
• Ability to provide guidance to CYP professionals.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
