Summary
Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) offers high quality early care and youth services in center-based (birth - five), facility-based (age 5-12), and recreational environments (teen; youth sports and fitness). The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all functions related to the execution of the fee assistance program, including clerical and administrative tasks in support of families and community-based providers enrolled in the fee assistance program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and maintaining reports, correspondence, and data related to the CYP Fee Assistance Program.
  • Reviewing child registration and enrollment paperwork for completeness and accuracy, verifying eligibility, employment, and income documentation.
  • Gathering enrollment information, determining subsidy benefits, and verifying community provider participation, including licensing and accreditation.
  • Processing and reconciling claims, preparing reports, and researching discrepancies.
  • Providing support to families via phone, email, and online messaging regarding fee assistance, enrollment, and policies.
  • Maintaining family requests on a prioritized waiting list.

Requirements

  • Must pass E-Verify and participate in Direct Deposit within 30 days.
  • Reside within 50 miles of the work location.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of relevant experience or an Associate's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative support, office automation, military CY programs, database systems, and basic accounting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct research and maintain accurate records.

Additional Information

Must submit college transcripts if claiming education in lieu of experience. The position requires compliance with federal drug-free workplace policies and background checks. Participation in travel and other federal employment requirements may apply.
