Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment is seeking a Cylinder Processor in Newark, NJ for 2nd shift. You will process gas cylinders, inspect for retesting or repairs, and ensure accurate stock records. The role requires basic leadership, strong mechanical aptitude, and reliable organizational skills.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, operating scales, maintaining quality documentation, and using a forklift. A high school diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience are expected, with competitive hourly

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• More than 1 year experience in plant/manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical background desired.
• Must have leadership, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

• Perform cylinder inspections to determine need for retesting or repairs via visual, physical, and odor tests.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles and product; fill as needed and load/unload for weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and paperwork; enter quantities/styles/products into the computer to justify stock.
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental procedures; operate forklift and other plant vehicles.

Newark, NJ, United States | req32369 Work Schedule: 2nd Shift

What you will enjoy doing*

• This role requires you to process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• You will conduct cylinder inspections to determine need for retesting or repairs through visual, physical, and odor tests before filling
• Check for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessary product. Load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment
• Further, you will prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and keys into the computer the quantities, styles and products filled in order to justify the stock inventory
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures, and operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles

What Makes You Great

• You have more than one (1+) year experience in plant or manufacturing environment
• A strong mechanical background is desired
• You must possess good leadership, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

Pay Range: $24.88-$36.49
