Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Cylinder Prep Tech in Plumsteadville, PA. The role involves processing gas cylinders, operating prep equipment, painting and coating cylinders, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining a safe, organized yard.

Responsibilities include assisting in inventory, ensuring quality, and supporting ISO/Health and Safety programs with Shift teams. High school diploma required; forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic math proficiency and ability to perform measurements.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent software.
• Ability to read and fill out reports in English.
• Willingness to work across shifts and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process gas cylinders for recycling and prep for production.
• Operate equipment in the cylinder prep area following standard work procedures.
• Move, scrape, paint, and coat cylinders; inspect and prepare for filling.
• Load/unload trucks and manage cylinder yard to ensure organization.
• Maintain equipment and conduct basic maintenance in the prep area.
• Collaborate with leadership on Health, Safety, and ISO Quality programs.
