Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling to determine retest/repair needs.
• Conduct cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Maintain required certifications to certify cylinders as retested.
• Operate a forklift to support material handling and movement of cylinders.
• Receive incoming cylinders, valves, and maintenance supplies; diagnose and repair neck leaks and safety-related leaks.
• Inspect and identify defective cylinders, scrapping as needed.
• Perform painting, housekeeping, and light maintenance to keep a safe work area.
