Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician to inspect, test, and service gas cylinders at our Oregon facility. You will perform cylinder conversions, operate testing equipment, and maintain safety certifications while supporting material handling and maintenance tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, physical ability to lift 40–70 lbs, and mechanical aptitude. Prior gas industry experience is preferred, with a focus on safety and quality in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in gas industry or cylinder maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift 40–70 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling.
• Conduct cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping and repairing valves.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Maintain required certifications to certify cylinders as retested.
• Operate a forklift for material handling of cylinders.
• Receive, diagnose and repair cylinder neck leaks and safety-related leaks.
• Inspect and scrap defective cylinders when appropriate.
• Perform painting, housekeeping, and light plant maintenance.
