Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the gas industry or cylinder maintenance preferred.
• Able to lift 40–70 lbs as needed.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders before filling to determine retesting or repairs.
• Conduct cylinder conversions, including de-valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves.
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers.
• Maintain required certifications to certify cylinders as retested.
• Receive and move cylinders, valves and maintenance supplies; diagnose and repair neck leaks.
• Inspect and identify defective cylinders, scrap when appropriate.
• Perform painting, housekeeping, and light plant maintenance for a clean, safe work environment.
