Roberts Oxygen in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a dedicated Cylinder Maintenance Operator to join our team. You will handle, maintain, and inspect high pressure and cryogenic cylinders, perform precise repairs, and ensure safety and quality throughout every step.

This role requires physical labor, adherence to regulations, and a focus on reliability and accuracy. CDL and hazmat endorsements are preferred, with competitive wages and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Class A or B CDL preferred.
• Hazmat, tanker and air brake endorsements preferred.
• Excellent driving record and pre-employment screenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle, maneuver, load, unload, and organize high pressure and cryogenic cylinders.
• Perform maintenance repairs, valve insertions, and valve removals.
• Conduct testing, analysis, inspections and requalification of cylinders.
• Ensure cylinder appearance through painting and labeling.
• Operate cylinder maintenance equipment safely (forklifts, handcarts, pallet jacks).
• Maintain attendance and dependable work habits.

With your technical and mechanical aptitude, you troubleshoot, test, and analyze, while keeping the highest focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities and requirements include

• Handle, maneuver, load, unload, and organize, high pressure and cryogenic cylinders.
• Perform detailed and specific maintenance repairs, valve insertions, and valve removals.
• Perform required testing, analysis, inspections and requalification of cylinders.
• Ensure acceptable cylinder appearance through proper painting and labeling.
• Safe operation of: cylinder maintenance, analysis, and mechanical loading equipment (forklifts, handcarts, pallet jacks).
• Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain CDL preferred.
• Ability to obtain hazmat, tanker and air brake endorsements preferred.
• Excellent driving record and if selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
