Airgas in La Porte, TX is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Loader & Sorter) for the 2nd shift. You will load/unload cylinders, prepare outbound shipments, and organize pallets while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and Airgas safety procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma, the ability to obtain a forklift license, and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly and over 125 pounds with equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree.
• Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads cylinders onto and off trucks.
• Prepares outbound shipments for delivery trucks and verifies inventory.
• Sorts incoming empty cylinders into correct size and gas groups.
• Organizes gases and cylinder sizes onto pallets to minimize load size footprint.
• Maintains safety by reading cylinder labels and color-coding.
• Operates warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
