Job summary

Airgas Fort Worth is seeking a Plant Operator I - Cylinder Loader to safely handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders, load and unload from trucks, and ensure all actions meet federal, state, local regulations and Airgas safety procedures. This role requires attention to detail and physical stamina.

You will prepare outbound shipments, verify inventory, arrange cylinders on pallets, and coordinate gas sizes to minimize load sizes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Prepares outbound shipments for delivery trucks and verifies inventory.
• Cylinder handling and organization on pallets.
• Coordinates and organizes various gases and cylinder sizes onto pallets.
• Operates warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintains a safe work environment by understanding hazards and color-coding.
