Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) at the Hingham, MA plant. The role operates on the 2nd shift (10am-6:30pm), with a pay rate of $28.50/hr and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to correctly fill and verify gas cylinders while maintaining accurate documentation and operating forklift equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
• Basic math and measurement conversions knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and filling gas products into cylinders in compliance with regulations and Airgas procedures.
• Conduct safety checks such as odor tests and valve checks; verify cylinder purity and correct mixtures.
• Prepare high pressure and liquid cylinders and attach to manifold; evacuate for quality and purity.
• Load and unload cylinders; operate forklift and pallet jack; handle warehouse tasks.
• Maintain records to meet DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets.
