Job summary

Airgas in Abilene, TX is seeking a Production Operator - Cylinder Filler to make and repack gases into cylinders, following safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures.

You will fill cylinders to capacity, perform pre-fill and post-fill tests, and maintain filling records to ensure regulatory compliance. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as needed; Airgas offers medical, dental and vision benefits, a 401(k) match, paid holidays, vacation and sick time.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds, and occasionally move up to 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship.
• 1+ years of forklift experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Make and/or repackage and pump compressed and liquefied gases into cylinders.
• Conduct pre-fill and post-fill inspections and perform tests on cylinders before they are released for distribution.
• Fill cylinders to the proper capacity by following safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures.
• Accurately maintain cylinder filling records and ensure all required procedures are followed to comply with local, state and federal regulations.
