Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Cylinder Driver to safely and promptly deliver propane to our customers in Kentucky. You will load and unload propane, maintain a clean vehicle and use available technology to document deliveries and monitor tank levels.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of delivery driving experience, CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a current DOT medical certificate, and willingness to rotate on-call evenings and

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers from containers (bulk truck, tanks, cylinders).
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Record and print delivery tickets; submit daily driver reports when needed.
• Conduct pre/post vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; raise safety concerns immediately.
• May work overtime hours as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Cylinder Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Cylinder Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification required
• Willingness to rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
