Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Mission, TX, is seeking a Cycle Counter to join our Mission team. You will cycle count raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and more to maintain accuracy and support on-time production.

You will review SAP transactions, perform root-cause analyses, generate monthly inventory reports, and help implement improvements to reduce inventory and costs. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in a warehouse, and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook; forklift experience is

What You'll Do

As a Cycle Counter, you'll be part of our Mission team located in Mission, TX. You'll get to:

• Cycle counts raw materials, WIP, finished goods, consignment, and non-conforming materials to maintain established count and accuracy goals
• Review SAP transactions to resolve inventory discrepancies
• Report inventory shortage adjustments to scheduling and/or purchasing to avoid production delays and customer backorders.
• Root cause analysis and reconciliation of the count discrepancies
• Create monthly inventory and root cause analysis reports
• Attend meetings and follow-through with dispositioning
• Maintain item and location labeling using 5S visual management
• Assist in preparation of physical inventories
• Assist in the implementation of improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital
• Drive a forklift or other powered industrial trucks to perform tasks as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

You also have:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1-year experience in Warehouse environment preferred
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to apply problem solving skills
• Experience with cycle counting and/or inventory movements.
• Ability to communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively.
• Excellent math skills and ability to read/write in English.
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of SAP and Webdynpro systems preferred.
• Previous experience driving a forklift or similar Powered Industrial Truck within a warehouse preferred
• Must possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Schedule flexibility. Must be able to work overtime if needed to assist at closing end month.
• Self-confident, motivated and proactive.
• Ability to multi-task
