Job summary

Donaldson Company, Inc. in Dixon, IL is seeking a Cycle Counter to maintain accurate inventory. This is a first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm, with responsibilities spanning cycle counting, reporting, and error analysis.

The role supports planners and buyers in inventory planning, and helps sustain inventory control workflows. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and strong reading abilities, plus solid computer skills and tape measure literacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to read and interpret documents.
• Solid computer knowledge and ability to use standard software.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, safety documents, and procedure manuals.
• Experience reading standard tape measurements is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Cycle Counter position is located in Dixon, IL and will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm.

Role Responsibilities:

• Cycle counts pre-determined inventory items per cycle count procedures
• Report cycle count activities and maintain cycle count reports
• Reconcile inventory differences
• Determine root causes for inventory errors
• Write corrective actions for solutions to inventory problems
• Assist planner and buyer in inventory planning functions and procedures
• Assist in maintaining inventory control workflow procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Basic math skills
• Computer knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety documents, and procedure manuals
• Ability to read standard tape measurements

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-6 months in a production/manufacturing environment
• Shipping department experience, cycle counting experience, inventory control

Hourly Rate: $20.73 Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance. This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
