Job summary

Flex N Gate is seeking a Cycle Counter to support accurate inventory levels at our Detroit, MI facility. You will perform regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies in the ERP system, and partner with Materials, Production, and Quality teams to uphold lean manufacturing improvements.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma with 2 years of manufacturing or inventory experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with database applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Inventory expert, troubleshoot discrepancies using ERP systems.
• Maintain minimum inventory levels and perform cycle counts.
• Communicate current inventory with Material Scheduler.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to locate and cycle count product.
• Update inventory databases with current data.
• Verify receipt data entry from Receivers and monitor FIFO.
• CMS database troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Stay up to date with system changes and training.

The Cycle Counter plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels. This position is responsible for performing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring data integrity in the inventory management system. The Cycle Counter collaborates closely with the Materials, Production, and Quality teams to support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Duties

• Inventory expert, working with ERP systems to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Maintain minimum inventory levels and monitor for accuracy regularly with cycle counts.
• Communicate current inventory with Material Scheduler.
• Work as a team with Manufacturing to locate and cycle count product.
• Check and update inventory databases with current data.
• Verify receipt data entry from Receivers and monitor FIFO of raw materials throughout the plant.
• CMS database - Troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, understanding transactions in inventory database and root cause analysis.
• Keep up to date with system changes and training requirements related to job duties.
