Job summary

Hours are flexible up to 19.5 per week, with a pay rate of $13.50 per hour. Candidates must meet FWS eligibility and be enrolled in the cybersecurity program; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in the Cybersecurity program at Gwinnett Technical College.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study funds for the current semester and be in good academic standing.
• Proficiency in at least one cybersecurity scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, familiarity with Windows/Linux and networking concepts.
• Must be able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and executing routine IT department activities and special projects.
• Assist with inventory of equipment for surplus and disposal.
• Support Cybersecurity Program Director and IT staff as needed.
