Job summary

Altron, Inc. in Manassas, VA seeks a Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation Specialist to join a high-caliber team developing IA/cybersecurity systems for the US Submarine Force. You will test, verify, and validate systems, assemble and test computer equipment, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.

Some travel and extended hours may be required. The role requires a BS/BA with 5+ years (or MS with 3+ years) of relevant experience, DoD Secret clearance, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires BS or MS with 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
• Navy/Submarine or Surface Navy experience preferred.
• Proficient in software testing and analysis.
• Extensive use of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements docs to develop validation methods.
• Craft comprehensive test procedures and plans.
• Perform verification and validation for changes.
• Support informal and formal test events and customer-driven tests.
• Identify and document software/hardware defects and coordinate resolutions.
• Configure lab per drawings and port maps.
• Participate in weekly technical/program meetings.
• Test planned requirements and report progress.
• Communicate issues to management as needed.
• Install IA software and provide test support at multiple sites.
• Work with engineers and external entities to define and interpret tests.
• Identify functional issues and propose resolutions.
• Work in an integrated DoD development team and provide updates.
