Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Cybersecurity Technician to safeguard information systems by identifying and resolving security issues. You will collaborate with a growing cybersecurity team and internal groups to maintain compliance with frameworks and programs.

Responsibilities include monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, deploying cybersecurity solutions, and coordinating simulated phishing to boost awareness. A technical degree and security certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of hands-on information security experience.
• Degree in a technical field preferred.
• Security+ or ISC2 CC or similar certs preferred but not required.
• Ability to analyze security data and incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents; document findings and recommend mitigations
• Support regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and others
• Deploy and standardize cybersecurity solutions across global operations and critical systems.
• Help coordinate and deliver simulated phishing campaigns to assess employee security awareness
• Research and summarize emerging security trends, threats, and attack methods
• Maintain security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and other software

Job Purpose

The Cybersecurity Technician is responsible for safeguarding information system assets by identifying and resolving security problems and threats. Collaborate within an expanding Cybersecurity team, and work closely with internal EnerSys teams to ensure new and continued compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and required programs and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents; document findings and recommend mitigations
• Support regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring the organization adheres to frameworks such as ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, TISAX, Essential Eight, EU CRA, NIS2, or other relevant guidelines
• Deploy and standardize cybersecurity solutions across global operations and critical systems.
• Help coordinate and deliver simulated phishing campaigns to assess employee security awareness
• Research and summarize emerging security trends, threats, and attack methods
• Maintain security tools such as Data Security, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and other security software
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity) - preferred
• Two or more years of practical experience in an information security role
• Strong analytical critical thinking skills
• Security+, ISC2 CC, or similar certifications are preferred but not required

Reasoning Ability:

• Problem management / resolution skills; project management skills; generally accepted security principles.
• Ability to analyze data, resources, and schedules to make decisions that affect a project on a regular basis.
