Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Roy, UT to contribute to the Sentinel Program. You will design and develop multi‑platform software using C/C++, Java, and Python, while leading CI/CD pipelines in a DevSecOps framework.

The role requires U.S. citizenship with an active Sentinel Secret/SAP clearance at day 1, plus hands-on experience in full life cycle software engineering, defense training devices, and cross‑functional collaboration with program teams.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship with active Sentinel Secret/SAP clearance at day 1.
Hands-on programming experience with Python, C/C++, and Java.
Experience with DoD training devices / training and simulation systems.
Lead full life cycle design, integration, verification, deployment, and in-service support.
Experience with software CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins; DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

Provides custom software design and development of specialized tools and techniques.
Designs and develops end-to-end data flow and tasking into the tools developed.
Documents and participates in design, code, and software readiness reviews.
Develops Windows, Linux, and cross-compiled applications; embedded platforms.
Owns the software life cycle from design to in-service support.
