Intertek’s Connected World team in Rockville, MD is hiring a System Administrator to oversee, maintain, and plan infrastructure growth. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain devices for cybersecurity testing across diverse vendor ecosystems.

The role emphasizes Windows 11, virtualization servers, network device management, and documentation. Associates degree required; CCNA/MCSE or similar preferred; on-site, travel possible.

Qualifikationen

• Associates Degree in Information Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred.
• At least two years of computer network maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server products.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, Red Hat, or CentOS).
• Knowledge of networking topologies and wiring; experience with firewalls, VPN, and routers.
• Certified Network Engineer or other technical certification such as CCNA or MCSE preferred.

Aufgaben

• Install and configure network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless devices, virtualization servers).
• Work with devices from a wide range of vendors and engage vendors for troubleshooting.
• Monitor and resolve network and device issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform upgrades and repairs; communicate with management to meet business demands.
• Provide routine support for Windows 11 and virtualization servers; maintain inventories.
