Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Manager of Cybersecurity Strategy and Governance. The role leads development and execution of strategic cybersecurity initiatives, governance processes, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance the organization’s security posture.

The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, execution‑focused, and capable of driving cross‑functional programs with leadership visibility, reporting, and policy alignment across legal, compliance, risk, and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or governance functions.
• 3+ years' experience utilizing cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, FFIEC CAT, ISO 27001, CRI).
• 3+ years' experience with regulatory and risk management practices, particularly in financial services or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Strategic program execution aligned with business objectives, risk management goals, regulatory guidance, and growth.
• Operationalize components of the cybersecurity Strategy, Governance, and Innovation roadmap in partnership with leadership.
• Track progress against maturity goals and report milestones, risks, and dependencies to leadership.
• Continuously assess and refine the strategy to address emerging threats and regulatory requirements.
• Support lifecycle of cybersecurity policies and standards in alignment with regulations.
• Coordinate inputs to governance forums, including meeting materials and action item follow-ups.
• Maintain and update the cybersecurity risk and control matrix (RCM) to reflect current-state controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to collect cybersecurity inputs into risk assessments and self-assessments.
• Track and support closure of audit issues and regulatory findings.
• Collaborate with teams to pilot innovative capabilities and improve processes.
• Develop, maintain and operationalize cybersecurity metrics and dashboards.
