Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist – Mid to support the Behavioral Threat Analysis Center (BTAC). The role reviews threats, develops interventions, and strengthens enterprise security across insider threat programs.

An active TS/SCI clearance is required. The position demands deep defense cybersecurity expertise, DoW/IC collaboration, and the ability to design and govern security measures that detect, protect, and recover from cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years advising security professionals on emerging cyber threats.
• Working knowledge of classified and unclassified systems and DoD/IC standards.
• Security Operations experience and CI/insider threat investigations.
• CISSP certification and DoW network standards experience.
• Strong coordination across diverse organizations to enable mission needs.
• Knowledge of DoW/IC computer systems, protections, and threats.
• Experience with offensive and defensive cyber capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis using security methodologies on information systems.
• Interface with DoW Insider Threat management and staff.
• Support forensic analysis of digital information.
• Provide threat-appropriate countermeasure recommendations.
• Lead design of security solutions for DoW cyber resilience.
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to complex projects.
• Develop action plans for policy, hardening, monitoring, incident response, and recovery.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
