Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites graduates to join the Cyber Concepts and Exploration group to tackle national-security focused cybersecurity problems.

Ideal candidates are graduating in 2027 with a bachelor's or master's in CS, CE, or cybersecurity and enjoy collaborative, research-oriented environments with opportunities to work on malware analysis, cryptography, formal methods, and secure software development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related discipline.
• Programming in Java, Python, or C/C++.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and on a team.
• Willingness to obtain Interim Secret clearance and eventually Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects in formal methods, malware analysis, cryptography, or secure software development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across industry and academia to defend against cyber threats.
• Engage in research and exploration of new cyber and software concepts.
