The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) Cyber Warfare Systems Group (QCR) seeks graduates to join teams conducting offensive security operations and developing mission-relevant cyber capabilities. You will work on multidisciplinary projects turning ideas into practical tools and assessments.

You will gain experience in vulnerability research, modeling, software development, and testing within realistic environments, with a focus on national security impact. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or another engineering/technical field.
• Experience or internship in vulnerability research, information theory, information security, cryptography, networking, penetration testing, systems modeling or software development.

Responsabilités

• Work on multidisciplinary teams to turn technical ideas into mission-relevant cyber capabilities.
• Apply methods such as vulnerability research, cybersecurity, networking, pene tration testing, cryptography, or data science to mission challenges.
• Experiment with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled approaches, and assess their capabilities and risks.
• Design and develop models, software, tools, or automation for cyber operations missions.
• Investigate systems to understand behavior, security properties, and vulnerabilities for mission use.
• Test and refine capabilities in realistic environments toward deployment.
• Collaborate with government, contractor, and APL teammates across the capability lifecycle.
