Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks graduates in CS, CE, EE, Cybersecurity, or related fields to contribute to advanced cyber capabilities across air, space, and defense platforms. You will join a multidisciplinary team tackling cryptography, embedded systems, and offensive/defensive security, working with industry, academia, and government partners.

The role emphasizes research, testing, and operationalization of cyber capabilities, with opportunities to present

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in listed fields.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, Rust, C/C++, MATLAB or similar.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance by start date and eligibility for TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Cryptography: research, develop, transition cryptographic technologies.
  • Embedded Solutions: develop low-level software, firmware, FPGA logic, and low-SWaP cyber capabilities.
  • Offensive Security: analyze vulnerabilities in hardware/software and assess impact.
  • Cyber Mission Engineering/Operationalization: ensure capabilities are integrated, validated, and operationalized.
  • Constrained Cyber Integration, Test, Evaluation, Deployment: design testbeds and evaluation workflows for rapid deployment.
