Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance Consultant to help secure clients’ systems and data. The role balances frontline threat response with proactive security posture management, including monthly policy reviews for client firewalls, EDR, and email systems.

You will split time between threat triage and automation, with opportunities to grow into SOC leadership. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in information security, strong communication, and a passion for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of information security experience, focusing on managed security services.
• Experience triaging and responding to security alerts.
• Experience building scripts or automations to streamline security workflows.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support client engagements and internal initiatives with a variety of tasks.
• Perform alert triage, response, and remediation across EDR, Email, and Identity platforms.
• Conduct monthly security posture reviews and configuration checks.
• Develop scripts and automations to streamline SOC operations.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity consultants and support team growth.
• Collaborate with clients to tailor security services to their needs.
