Hightower Advisors seeks a cybersecurity professional to manage risk, third‑party security, and GRC programs. Based in Chicago, you will collaborate with stakeholders to protect information assets, support audits, and drive risk-informed security improvements across technology and vendors.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in cybersecurity risk management and strong analytical/communication skills to promote a robust security culture within a wealth management environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Security+ or related certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity risk management, third-party risk management, security operations, or a related cybersecurity function.
• Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity trends and threats to bolster the company’s security posture.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret security, risk, and compliance data to support decision-making and risk management activities.
• Strong interpersonal and communications (written and oral).
• Self-motivated individual with minimal supervision.
• Ability to think critically to effectively address and resolve IT security issues.

Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity risk management assessments, document results, track remediation.
• Monitor remediation activities and ensure timely mitigation.
• Support risk exception and risk acceptance processes with approvals.
• Prepare risk and security reports for management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on risk practices across the organization.
• Conduct security reviews for new technologies, applications, and cloud services.
