Job summary

Harris Associates L.P. seeks a Director of Cybersecurity Operations & Risk Governance in Chicago to lead the SOC, manage the cybersecurity risk register, and drive regulatory alignment with SEC, GLBA and FINRA.

You will mentor a small team of analysts/engineers, own incident response and vulnerability management programs, and report key metrics to the CISO and board committees, while coordinating with Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a SOC/detection function with enterprise SIEM/XDR tooling.
• Experience building a cybersecurity risk governance program with CSF mapping.
• Hands-on mentorship of security analysts and engineers.
• Knowledge of SEC Cybersecurity Rule, Regulation S-P, GLBA, FINRA.
• CISSP certification or in progress with 12-month commitment.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the security operations function including monitoring, detection, and triage.
• Serve as Incident Commander for cybersecurity incidents and lead post-incident reviews.
• Own the vulnerability management program end to end with reporting to IT leadership.
• Direct third-party red team, pentesting, and PAM initiatives; coordinate with Security Engineering.
