Citizens Bank is offering a Corporate Security & Resilience Intern position as part of the 2027 Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program. The role is based in Johnston, RI, and runs for 10 weeks starting late May 2027, with mentorship and exposure to senior leadership.

The internship focuses on cybersecurity, security engineering, IAM, and resiliency, with hands-on experience in analytics, automation, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or similar degree.
• Basic knowledge of Information Security and/or business controls.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience supporting reporting, documentation, or presentations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Support on initiatives across Cybersecurity, Security Engineering and Architecture, and IAM teams.
• Assist with security analytics, automation, and resilience projects.
• Participate in security operations, incident response readiness activities, and operational reporting for banking applications.
• Contribute to risk assessments, control reviews, internal audits, and regulatory documentation.
