Hitachi America, Ltd. seeks a Director of Research – Cybersecurity to shape strategy in the Security Innovation Lab and lead cross-functional teams across the Americas. The role requires deep cybersecurity expertise, leadership experience, and a broad network of industry contacts.

Qualifications

12+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years in management, policy, or senior technical roles.
Existing network of cybersecurity and industry contacts.
Strong technical background with understanding of adjacent political and social issues.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Hitachi in emerging cybersecurity initiatives and research.
Engage with headquarters and regional R&D and cybersecurity teams to provide strategic insights.
Lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff to deliver research outputs.
Publish research findings and present at industry events and forums.
Collaborate with Japan teams to align practices and ensure global consistency.
