Job summary

Claddagh Resources is seeking a Cybersecurity Engagement Director to lead its most complex client security engagements across North America. This senior, client-facing role requires deep cybersecurity expertise and a track record advising at CXO level.

You will own client relationships, shape the security agenda with executives, and stay close to the work to guide high-stakes engagements. Onsite in Edison or Santa Clara with up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior point of contact for cybersecurity strategy and risk posture with client executives.
• Translate technical risk into business terms for board-level decisions.
• Lead multi-workstream engagements spanning security operations, identity and access, cloud and data protection, governance and compliance.
• Guide engagement teams on approach, solution design and quality, stepping into detail when needed.
• Grow existing client relationships by expanding the security agenda with clients.
• Represent the practice in executive conversations, client reviews and competitive situations.

Job description

Edison, New Jersey or Santa Clara, California. Up to 50 percent travel.

A global tier-1 IT services and consulting firm is hiring a Cybersecurity Engagement Director to lead its most complex client security engagements across North America.

This is a senior client-facing role for someone who has spent their career inside consulting or systems integration and is trusted by CISOs and CIOs as the person they call when the problem is hard. You will own the relationship, shape the security agenda with the client's executive team, and stay close enough to the work to make the calls that matter. It suits a practitioner who moved into leadership, not a leader who has lost touch with the practice.

What you will do:

• Act as the senior point of contact for client executives on cybersecurity strategy, risk posture and transformation priorities.
• Translate technical security risk into commercial and operational language that a board will act on.
• Lead multi-workstream security engagements spanning areas such as security operations, identity and access, cloud and infrastructure security, data protection, and governance and compliance.
• Guide engagement teams on approach, solution design and quality, stepping into the detail where the situation calls for it.
• Grow existing client relationships by identifying where the security agenda needs to go next.
• Represent the practice in executive conversations, client reviews and competitive situations.

What we are looking for:

• A track record advising at CXO level, with the confidence and clarity to discuss technical matters in plain terms.
• Recognition as a go-to authority on cybersecurity threats, risks and how to manage them in practice.
• Consulting firm, systems integrator or professional services background at a senior client-facing level.
• Willingness to get hands on when an engagement needs it, rather than directing from a distance.
• Personable, honest and engaging, with no ego. This is a team environment and it stays that way.
• Ability to work onsite from Edison or Santa Clara and travel up to 50 percent.
