Job summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead security strategy, compliance, and technical execution across proposals, systems, and operations. You will integrate cybersecurity requirements into bid responses, analyze solicitations, and define compliant solutions with supporting documentation.

In this role you will manage RMF processes from categorization to monitoring, coordinate with AO/ISSM-ISSO, and mentor technicians while collaborating with client IT and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience.
• U.S. Citizens due to federal contract requirements.
• CompTIA Sec+ and CCNA required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in Active Directory, Full Server Stacks, Switches, ATO/ATC processes, and Systems Administration.
• Must successfully pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cybersecurity aspects of bid proposals and ensure security requirements are addressed.
• Analyze RFQs, RFPs, PWS, and SOWs; devise comprehensive cybersecurity solutions and draft proposal sections.
• Compile deliverables related to cybersecurity compliance, including COIs, POAM, STIGs, and system diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance on networks; conduct vulnerability and compliance assessments (SCAP/NESSUS).
• Collaborate with system manufacturers and SMEs; assess STIG implementation and compile exemptions as needed.
• Manage operations and growth of the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL); mentor technicians.
• Coordinate with client IT and cybersecurity teams; share best practices and ensure standards compliance.
• Drive RMF process from Categorization through Monitoring; interface with AO and ISSM/ISSO on ATO.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems at client facilities.
• Stay current on emerging technologies in Electronic Security Systems; resolve client security issues effectively.
