Job summary

VHC Health is seeking a Cybersecurity Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and govern the cybersecurity program in support of our security strategy and regulatory requirements. This role serves as the operational backbone of the CISO office, overseeing initiatives, budgets, vendor governance, and roadmap execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of program management experience, strong communication and reporting skills, and familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, business admin, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity or governance programs.
• Experience with budget management, vendor management, and portfolio tracking.
• Strong organization, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and project management tools.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls preferred.

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Cybersecurity Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing the cybersecurity program to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and the overall security strategy. This role serves as the operational backbone of the CISO organization, providing oversight of cybersecurity initiatives, budget management, vendor governance, roadmap execution, and knowledge management.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field is required.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity, technology, or governance programs is required.
• Experience with budget management, vendor management, and project portfolio tracking.
• Strong organization, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and project management tools.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• PMP, PgMP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or related certifications preferred.
