Job summary

Virginia Hospital Center seeks a Cybersecurity Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and govern the hospital's cybersecurity program, aligning with strategy and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee initiatives, budgets, vendor governance, roadmap execution, and knowledge management within the CISO organization, ensuring secure, compliant operations across clinical and administrative systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity or governance programs.
• Experience with budget and vendor management.
• Strong organization, communication, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with MS 365 suite and project tools.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls preferred.

Cybersecurity Program Manager

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Cybersecurity Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing the cybersecurity program to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and the overall security strategy. This role serves as the operational backbone of the CISO organization, providing oversight of cybersecurity initiatives, budget management, vendor governance, roadmap execution, and knowledge management.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field is required.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity, technology, or governance programs is required.
• Experience with budget management, vendor management, and project portfolio tracking.
• Strong organization, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and project management tools.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• PMP, PgMP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or related certifications preferred.
