Job summary

U.S. Department of Commerce seeks a cybersecurity/privacy specialist in its Cybersecurity Modernization and Privacy Branch (CMPB) for a term appointment not-to-exceed two years. Candidates must meet OPM IT qualifications, including education and specialized experience for GS-13 level duties.

Extension up to 10 years may be possible under agency policy and 5 CFR 316.301. Preferred candidates have demonstrated planning of security projects, privacy IT procedures, and advising on updates to privacy

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience is one full year at the next lower grade level (GS-13) or equivalent.
• Experience planning security projects to detect, prevent, and resolve security breaches.
• Experience developing privacy-related IT security procedures and advising on privacy/cybersecurity mandates.
