Job summary

Highwire is seeking an Account Director in its Cybersecurity practice to lead integrated communications for top cybersecurity brands. You’ll guide 4–5 account teams, mentor staff, and shape client strategy across threat intelligence, cloud security, identity management, and incident response.

Strong writing and industry insight are essential. You'll drive thought leadership, manage budgets, and partner with clients on visibility initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PR or communications experience in an agency setting.
• Deep cybersecurity client experience including threat intel, cloud security, identity management or security operations.
• Proven ability to translate complex topics into clear business narratives.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for executive audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship of teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity client programs with strategic leadership and senior counsel.
• Develop integrated communications strategies to build brand credibility and market leadership.
• Provide senior-level counsel on messaging, media engagement, and reputation management.
• Translate complex cybersecurity topics for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Oversee budgets, forecast hours, and allocate resources across teams.
• Drive thought leadership and executive visibility initiatives.
