Malwarebytes Inc. is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to drive storytelling and grow an earned creator program, split between a mature PR engine and new creator outreach.

The role blends reporter- and creator-facing work, with strong media relationships and ability to execute reliably within an established program while bringing entrepreneurial energy to new initiatives. The candidate should be adept at translating threat research into compelling narratives, and coordinate with threat

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in communications, PR, or earned media; mid-level role.
• Proven track record earning media coverage and building journalist/creator relationships.
• Strong writing/editing to explain technical topics for general audiences.
• Familiarity with creator/influencer landscape; stance on earned creator vs paid deals.
• Able to execute reliably within a mature program while building something new.
• Organized, self-directed, able to manage multiple workstreams with limited oversight.
• Interest in cybersecurity, technology, privacy, or online culture; security experience a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day execution of an established PR program: drafting and distributing press materials, coordinating announcements, and managing an editorial calendar.
• Pitch and place stories with security, technology, and business media; maintain relationships with reporters, editors, and analysts.
• Translate threat research and product news into clear, compelling external narratives.
• Support executive and spokesperson communications; briefing prep, talking points, and industry engagement.
• Track coverage, monitor media landscape, and report results against goals.
• Help build and scale an earned creator program from early stages; identify voices across security, tech, consumer spaces.
• Develop briefs and campaign moments that provide creators with useful, on-brand material.
• Coordinate creator activity around launches and research releases with cross-functional teams.
• Measure earned creator impact and iterate as the program scales.
