Malwarebytes Inc. is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to advance our storytelling across a mature PR program and a growing earned creator initiative.

You will balance traditional media outreach with creator partnerships, translating complex threat research into clear narratives for broad audiences. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent messaging, manage press activity, and scale an external creator channel, while keeping a steady drumbeat of coverage and

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in communications, PR, or earned media
• Proven track record earning media coverage
• Strong writing and editing skills for technical topics
• Familiarity with the creator/influencer landscape
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited oversight
• Interest in cybersecurity or technology

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day execution of an established PR program — drafting and distributing press materials, coordinating announcements, and managing an editorial calendar of news moments.
• Pitch and place stories with security, technology, and business media, and build and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, and analysts.
• Translate technical threat research and product news into clear, compelling narratives for external audiences.
• Support executive and spokesperson communications, including briefing prep, talking points, and industry engagement opportunities.
• Track coverage, monitor the media landscape, and report on results against program goals.
• Help build and grow an earned creator program from the ground up — defining the approach and setting the foundation for collaboration.
• Identify, vet, and build authentic relationships with creators across security, tech, consumer spaces.
• Develop briefs and story angles for creator campaigns that are on-brand and useful.
• Coordinate creator activity around launches and research releases with cross-functional teams.
• Measure earned creator impact and iterate to scale the program as a repeatable channel.
• Partner with content, social, brand, product marketing, and threat research to keep messaging consistent.
• Bring sound judgment to fast-moving moments and reactive news for a security brand.
