Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern for Summer 2027 in Pittsburgh, PA. You will join the Corporate Information Security team, tackling real-world challenges during a 12-week program and working with industry changemakers.

The internship focuses on governance, risk, and security operations, with exposure to DLP, VM, investigations, awareness, and incident response. Hybrid schedule with housing stipend offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in IT, CS, or Cybersecurity with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Develop cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Assist with risk assessments and documentation, producing reports and dashboards.
• Review security controls and evidence.
• Support compliance activities and audit readiness.
• Align framework standards (NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001).
• Identify gaps and track remediation.
• Translate cybersecurity requirements into business terms and collaborate with the team.
