Job summary

BCC Software in the United States is seeking a Security Analyst to advance our cybersecurity program. You will define, validate, and report on security controls to protect assets and data, leveraging frameworks, audits, and SLAs to guide governance, operations, and continuous improvement.

You will strengthen identity security with Entra ID, deploy Defender XDR and Sentinel, oversee MDR, manage vulnerability remediation, lead incident response, enforce data protection and AI usage policies, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity operations experience.
• Understanding of secure network architecture.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365 and Azure security tools.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF 2.0 and CIS Controls.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II audits.
• Scripting and query skills (PowerShell, KQL).
• Ability to respond quickly and participate in on-call rotation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Security certifications preferred (e.g., SC-200, AZ-500, SC-300, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Strengthen identity security using Entra ID and MFA.
• Deploy and optimize Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Intune security.
• Oversee the MDR provider and reviews.
• Lead vulnerability management with remediation SLAs.
• Lead incident response and maintain playbooks.
• Establish Azure guardrails with Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud.
• Manage data protection with Purview labeling and DLP.
• Enforce AI Usage Policy and manage Copilot risks.
• Manage third-party security risk and security questionnaires.
• Create and maintain security documentation and risk registers.
• Align with CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, SOC 2 Type II.
• Validate ransomware resilience with immutable backups and tests.
• Manage security training across teams.
