U.S. Fleet Forces Command seeks an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEM SECURITY MANAGER) to lead cybersecurity across command information systems at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME.

The role requires expert guidance on risk, compliance, and incident preparedness, with duties encompassing senior advisory and cross-agency collaboration. It is a DoD cyberspace workforce position requiring DoD 8140.03 qualifications, and travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites may be

Qualifications

• Specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12 level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent in private/public sector.
• Experience developing, interpreting, and implementing cybersecurity procedures and operating practices aligned with higher-level policies and mission needs.
• Experience influencing cybersecurity risk management processes to improve IT reliability, availability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Command Information System Security Manager and senior IT Cybersecurity technical advisor.
• Provide expert technical guidance on cybersecurity posture, risk, compliance, incident readiness, and secure operation of command information systems.
• Communicate complex cybersecurity risks and requirements to internal and external stakeholders; recommend actions.
