Job summary

The University of Miami Health System’s UHealth IT Department seeks a Full-Time IT Portfolio Manager to drive strategic planning and execution of cybersecurity programs across the portfolio. You will influence enterprise security investments, collaborate with executives, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable value for education, research, and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Operational management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency.
• Organizational development: Improve organizational effectiveness and manage change.
• Financial oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management.
• Team leadership: Build and maintain a cohesive, productive team.
• Technical proficiency: Proficient with office software and IT tools.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement best practices for portfolio and project management across departments.
• Manage lifecycle of cross-department initiatives, investments, programs, and projects to achieve enterprise goals.
• Recalibrate portfolio as business demands change; work with PMO and Executive Steering Committee on prioritization.
• Collaborate with Project Intake Team to review requests and assess priority for governance.
• Coordinate with Enterprise PMO on management of large, strategic initiatives.
• Provide comprehensive portfolio overviews including budgets and resource needs.
• Oversee change control and risk management within the portfolio.
• Develop understanding of customer impact and service requirements for initiatives.
